In the early 1970s, Los Angeles became the center of an American cultural renaissance. As summers got hot in Southern California, the same local kids that were shaping their own surfboards to ride the waves of the Pacific started surfing the concrete basins of drainage ditches and empty swimming pools with their skateboards. When Cadillac Wheels introduced a new kind of soft polyurethane skateboard wheels in 1973, Venice youth finally had the right equipment to take their casual, low-slung surfing style to the streets – and stir up a worldwide skateboarding revolution.

Floyd’s hard shell suitcases on skateboard wheels come in three sizes – Cabin, Check-In and Trunk – and a palette of vibrant, fade-resistant colours inspired by Southern California. Made from high-end Makrolon® polycarbonate, the trolleys are lightweight, perfectly balanced, dimensionally stable and highly durable. The suitcases come equipped with expandable aluminium handles and an aluminium framelock with easy one-click snap closure and a central combination TSA lock. The interior is lined with Floyd’s trademark orange, high-quality, tear-resistant nylon fabric certified by Oeko-Tex® Standard 100. It features two closable compartments – a simple but clever solution for opening the cases discreetly, without items falling out – and a separate laptop holder with easy-running zippers.
